Privacy policy

This policy covers this website, the forms on it and the emails you send to the addresses listed here. It does not cover our clinical trials. If you take part in one of our studies, the informed consent form and the study's own privacy notice explain how your information is handled.

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us:

• your name, email address, organization and message when you use the contact form or write to us;
• your CV, cover note and the role you are applying for when you apply for a job;
• your name, role and organization when you register for an investor or scientific event.

Our servers also keep standard logs of each request, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We do not ask for health information through this website. Please do not send medical records or details about your health through the contact form.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your request and pass it to the right team, to assess job applications, to run the events you register for, and to keep the site secure and working. We also use it where the law requires us to, for example to keep records for regulators.

Where European or Swiss data protection law applies, we rely on your consent, on steps you ask us to take before entering a contract (such as reviewing an application), on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site, and on our legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who host this site, deliver our email and manage job applications for us. They act on our instructions and under written contracts that require them to protect it.

Information may move between our offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Basel, Switzerland. When it leaves the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, we protect it with standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, to regulators or when the law requires it, and to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It saves a few display settings in your browser, such as your choice of light or dark theme, so pages look the way you left them. These settings stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries sent through the contact form: up to two years after our last exchange.
• Job applications: up to twelve months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to keep your details for future roles.
• Event registrations: up to twelve months after the event.
• Server logs: up to 90 days, unless we need them to investigate a security issue.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or send it to another organization. You can object to our use of it and withdraw your consent at any time. We reply to every request within one month and will not treat you differently for making one.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. In Switzerland, that is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once a year. When we change it, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
